The Maremma SheepDog is a wonderful companion. For years, Maremma SheepDogs have been proud loving creatures. He is a loyal, friendly, determined,loving doggie. He is an excellent gaurd dog, but doesn’t bark alot.

NOT ment for apartments. These dogs need lots of space. if they get enough excersice they will be chill indoors. They need at least a yard. Not really recommended for hot climates because they have kinda a heavy coat. You have to be asssertive and the leader of the pack with these dogs. Not many health problems. None really. They are expected to live 11-13 years.

Ainu

The Ainu dog is a thin dog. Very muscular. Very impulsive and fast. He is fearless and a great hunter, watch dog, hunter,defernder,gaurd, and very loyal, well behaved. A huge sweety! This dog is highly intelligent therefore easily trained. This a gentle, obedient, home-loving dog.

no signifigant health problems

Not RECOMMENDED for apartments. There hyper indoors so they do good outdoors an can live outdoors to cause their coat protects them.

Africanis

This dog has an intresting story: As per the recorded evidence, the domestication of Africanis dogs’ did not originate in Africa. Rather, these dogs are believed to have descended from the pet dogs had been domesticated in the East and came to Africa. It is believed that they lived in Egypt as early as 4700 BC. It was from Egypt that these dogs spread along the Nile, into Sudan and beyond. Simultaneously, Africanis were introduced in Sahara, through seasonal migrations. As the Bantu-speaking people of the Early Iron Age migrated to South Africa, the dogs were eventually brought into the land.

 

The earliest evidence about Africanis’ presence in South Africa was brought forward by Dr. Ina Plug, Deputy Director of Transvaal Museum. The remains of these dogs believed to belong to 570 AD, were discovered near Botswana Border. Evidence of pet Africanis was also found in the lower Thukela valley, believed to be dating to around 650 AD. In the course of time, Africanis adapted to different conditions prevalent in South Africa. It has now become a part of Africa’s unique heritage & biodiversity. Today, one can find true Africanis in rural parts of Africa, where people lead a traditional life.

 This dog is a medium sized dog. short coat. This dog is a muscle man! This dog is presice and agile. IT is also a friendly dog so it can be domesticated. He has alot of expressions so its not just the cute head tilt with this dog.

Afghan Hound

You all remember  Beverley Hills Cop. Yep i am talking about that beauty Afghan Hound! First, this dog is considered royalty. They just look like Kings and Queens. They are very tall and skinny and beautiful. These dogs are sweet, dignified, affectionate, loyal, and, sensitive. You must be calm and chill with dogs. These dgs have beed described as the”King of Dogs”.

These dogs do best with older more considerate children.

Weight: 58-64 pounds

These dogs are generally healthy.

Not really suggested for apartment life because there are not really active indoors. The can be a inside or outside dog but preferes to sleep inside.

they NEED a daliy walk or jog.

Life: about 14 years

These dogs need much attention for there coat. Dont brush in between baths ok just trust me.

Affenpinscher

This dog is a small doggy. Mostly likely a lap dog. He has a long coat that is kinda shaggy like the shaggy dog. This dog has the terrier personality. Speaking from experience(i have a Yorkshire Terrier) these dogs have a whole lot of personality. They are very proud! THEY also think they are a great dane and can take on anyone and everything. But they are friendly with most dogs and other pets. They are bold, proud, but love to  play and monkey around. These dogs are very smart and confident. Some so smart, they might out smart you. So be on your toes with these dogs. If you have kids then teach your kids to treat the dog nicely because this dog is usally treated like a small dog which causes negitive behavior. SO JUST MAKE SURE YOUR CHIDREN know how to handle your dog. Let me just say you need a sense a humor for this dog.

Weight: 7 – 8 pounds

Health: These dogs are prone to fractures, slipped stifle, and respiratory problems in hot weather. So, if you live somewhere hot then make sure there is shade and a big bowl of water some where around.

Living Conditions: These dogs will do fine in an apartment. They don’t need a yard but will do fine in a yard to. But they are sensitive to extreme conditions so like i said shade, a bowl of water, or its the air conditioning.

Exercise:  They need a daily walk. But play will take care of most of their exercise.

Expected to live 10-12 years.

These dogs should never be clipped short. It will ruin their coat for years. Just brush it every week. They dont shed much.
